When churches are equipped to disciple the believers, they not only strengthen their internal communities but also become more effective in spreading the gospel. International Connection Mission offers resources and discipleship materials that help churches build strong discipleship programs. These materials serve as practical tools that guide churches in teaching their members to grow in faith, live according to biblical principles, and become disciple-makers themselves.
By empowering one church to make disciples, the influence extends beyond that congregation, as new disciples are trained and encouraged to disciple others. This multiplication model is at the heart of the Great Commission, where Jesus instructed His followers to "make disciples of all nations." When churches are empowered to disciple others, they contribute to the growth and unity of the body of Christ as a whole. This empowerment allows churches to raise up leaders, mentor new believers, and create a sustainable model of spiritual growth. Diploma and Certification upon Completion
Empowered by the Word—discipleship in action!
Upon successfully completing the discipleship classes and training, each participant will be awarded a Diploma in Discipleship as a recognition of their commitment and growth in their faith journey. This diploma signifies that the individual has gained a deep understanding of biblical teachings, developed leadership skills, and is fully equipped to disciple others within their community. It represents not only the completion of the program but also the readiness to lead, mentor, and share the gospel effectively.
In addition to the diploma, participants will receive a Certificate of Licensure, which grants them formal recognition to serve in various capacities within their local church. This certificate allows the individual to take on leadership roles, such as teaching, mentoring, and organizing discipleship programs. The licensure demonstrates that they have met all the necessary requirements, both spiritually and practically, to guide others in their faith journey, ensuring they are fully prepared to contribute to the growth and health of their church community.
These recognitions not only empower participants but also affirm their role as spiritual leaders within the body of Christ. With the diploma and certificate, they are equipped to make a lasting impact by helping others grow in their faith, fostering a culture of discipleship, and actively participating in the mission of their church.
After receiving the Diploma in Discipleship and the Certificate of Licensure, participants will attend a Consecration Service. This special service is a time of dedication and commissioning, where participants are formally recognized before their church community for their commitment to serving Christ and His mission. During the consecration, church leaders and mentors pray over the newly trained disciples, asking for God’s guidance, wisdom, and blessing as they step into their new roles as spiritual leaders.
The consecration service symbolizes the transition from training to active ministry, affirming the participants’ readiness to disciple others and serve within their church. It is a moment of spiritual empowerment, where the participants are not only celebrated for their accomplishments but also reminded of the responsibility they now carry as ambassadors of Christ. Through this ceremony, they are sent out with the support and prayers of the church, fully equipped to lead others in faith and to further the mission of making disciples.
The service also serves as an inspiration for the congregation, showcasing the importance of discipleship and leadership development within the church. It reinforces the commitment to raising up mature believers who are dedicated to the work of the gospel. As the newly consecrated leaders step into their roles, they do so with the support and prayers of their church family, ready to make a lasting impact in their communities and in the expansion of God's kingdom.
